We need a strong leader, with a strong voice to advocate for us in Hartford.
That leader is Martha Marx.

Priorities

Fight for women's freedoms, including safe and reliable access to abortions and reproductive care.  Support a constitutional amendment to enshrine abortion rights in Connecticut.

Work with municipal leaders and across the isle to find an actual solution to our housing crisis.  The economy cannot grow and thrive if there is not affordable workforce housing.

Lower the tax burden in CT.  Start with extending the gas tax holiday and updating our regressive car tax.  Follow on with making sure the large healthcare giants are paying their fair share of property tax to allow for lowing local property taxes.

Create policy to offer a system of affordable, accessible, comprehensive medical coverage that does not depend on income or job status.

Address the growing mental illness crisis by creating metal illness-specific care centers with healthcare partners.

Support renewable energy growth in the 20th District and state to immediately fight climate change.  Develop policy going forward that will protect and improve our environment, from coastal resiliency planning and execution  to corporate producer responsibility initiatives.

Working with the towns in District 20 to make sure their needs are being met - to foster and grow healthy communities.

Ensure the public education system is fully funded so that teachers and children have the support they need.

Support common-sense gun legislation to keep guns out of the hands of people who shouldn't have them.

Ensure that Connecticut receives as many dollars as possible from the Inflation Reduction Act to lower dependence on fossil fuels and upgrade the electric grid.

Work to create affordable, accessible, engaging childcare to support families.

Vote for budgets that include fully funding the public safety sector -  police, fire fighters, EMTs.

Continuing to create affordable public higher education opportunities, including trade and technical schools and pipeline programs.

Be an advocate for transportation improvements on I-95.  Martha will defend and fully fund the special transportation fund so that federal dollars can come into Connecticut to fix our highways.

Oppose legislation that makes Connecticut less affordable for families.

Choose Martha Marx to stand up for CT on November 5.
